source coding help

I need help getting started

By ExecutionerMajini 9 months ago

I have been trying to make a multi-player mod for HL2, I have the mapping and modelling down, but I cant get source coding. I have tried searching online for tutorials but they are out of date. I need help setting up the interface (menus,GUI,HUD,etc) but I have no idea what I am doing. If anyone could help me learn and let me ask questions that would be great. It would be even better if you could talk to ma on skype, or steam call chat.

I have a friend who knows about this kind of stuff, not sure if he's open for teaching though.

You need to know C++ in order to code for the source engine. Basically you won't succeed. Either find a programmer or just throw the idea away.

If you have the discipline and the time, you can spend 6 months learning everything you need to know from Judo; if he's true to his word anyway.
