Replacing the crowbar in XSI w/o MS3D

Milkshape sucks and I hate it and it is bad and makes me sad and angry

By Dog_ 3 years ago

Ok, I made a minecraft pickaxe model in XSI, textured it, and exported it to smd, and tried to replace the crowbar using milkshape like I do. Problem is, MS3D is fucked so I can't do it. Can I use XSI to replace the view model without getting an error like this {{ERROR: cannot find bone ValveBiped.Bip01_Spine4 for bbox}} when compiling?

Also, here's a pic of the axe from minecraft that I hand modeled

And before I forget, how do I hide those texture node things?

Thanks!

Select them, in the right column under the transformation options, there's the 'Edit' section. Click freeze.

    Dunno about the first one..

The XSI source files for the HL2 crowbar are available, you can just open it and delete the original crowbar mesh. Just don't delete the bones etc.

Thing is, I will need to attach to new crowbar to a bone, but, in milkshape you can select the hand bone and it will show up all the hand mesh and I just add to that. XSI does not do that so I have the hand mesh floating around. Also getting the error above. Will try again though.

Edit: Wait something didn't fuck up this time... Maybe I didn't need to select the other mesh.

Edit: Crowbar looks exactly the same.

    Edit: This isn't working

    Edit: Halp!1
